I’ve been a runner for a long time. Over the course of my life, I’ve been lucky enough to have jogs around Elliott Bay, Golden Gate Park, the tip of Manhattan and the Charles River in Boston. I tried high-stepping the Flatiron’s in Boulder. I recommend pacing yourself there.
The thing that I love best about running is letting my mind drift, hearing the pattern of my feet, wondering what’s going to pop into my mind. I guess that’s what I love most about the business we’re in. You get that opportunity every day. To run towards something that you don’t necessarily know the solution to yet.
I try to bring optimism to every project. And grit to every process. We’re not always going to succeed. But we can always get running. And see where it takes us.
